Victorian Brass Letter Rack

A truly stunning, high Victorian cast and pierced brass letter rack (or napkin holder) dating from the late 19th Century. Produced by Adolph Frankau & Co of 121 Queen Victoria Street, London, this particular example has a central winged cherub on either side and stands on 4 lion paw feet.  Stamped beneath with the makers' mark (AFC in a hexagon). A beautiful aesthetic statement for a desk or table. We haven't touched it with a cleaning cloth as some prefer the 'patina', but it would gleam like a star if polished.
