Victorian Turtle Dove Wedding Favours

Stunning and unique set of 6 Victorian hand made & painted paper wedding favours in the form of turtle doves.  These would have been used on the top table of a high society Victorian wedding, holding sweet treats such as sugared almonds. Each figure is beautifully and skilfully hand craft and finished, with gold detailing to the feathers, red painted feet and painted eyes.

Amazing that these have survived over 100 years with only minor damage. Each has a paper basket between its' wings for holding the treats.
