An extremely rare BP art poster believed to date from 1970 (marked BP/213/70) promoting BP's Super Visco-Static Motor Oil - these were believed to have been used by dealers and in the promotion of motorsports events around the UK and beyond, and as a result, most were defaced and/or destroyed. The art shows various vehicles from the era, including single seater, rallycross, cross country and touring car. The blank section is for the dealer or event organiser to add their own details, or of any event or sale that they were running.
The only other poster we can find in this similar style is for French Cofranc Motor Oil, dating from 1950, so this is likely the inspiration for it......
The poster is in excellent condition for a piece over 50 years old - it was stored in a card tube and never displayed, so has no rips or tears.
