Early 20th Century bronze and enamel plaque for the Rolls Royce Ltd registered office in Derby. The site was first developed in 1907 for production of the famous marque, and car production was ceased in Derby in 1939, due to the outbreak of WW2 and the need for the Merlin engines that powered the Spitfire. This sign was salvaged when the factory was closed in 2008, before being redeveloped as a residential & commercial site.
