A ruberoid anatomical head model that splits to show the internal parts. Most likely German in origin, this piece will have been used in an academic setting. Each side of the head presents different layers of tissue (blood vessels/muscles), and the same for the interior. See videos showing all the details.
A really nice, detailed piece which is becoming harder and harder to find. Lovely colouring and has a slight intended head tilt which differentiates it from the norm - a conversation piece that looks fantastic on a book shelf. Love it!
