Vintage rotating metal counter top display stand for the Cat's Paw thin lift rubber heels and soles. Each side has slots for holding the various sizes of pads, and the top lifts up for storing extra pieces. Cat's Paw was founded in Baltimore, USA in 1904, but was acquired in the 1960s and phased out shortly after. The main draw was its patented no slip rubber pads embedded in the heel. The little white studs were made of a different material and recessed slightly into the rubber, and the wearers weight would extend the pad and add extra traction, which was believed to replicate the actions of our feline friend. Amelia Earhart supposedly died wearing a pair of Cat's Paw heeled loafers! Obvious signs of wear and use, but it is complete and a rare survivor.......find another!
