Large vintage wooden hand painted sign salvaged from a railway depot. Dating from circa 1950, this piece would have been located alongside the track to identify any point where the locomotive engineer (train driver) is required to sound the whistle, for instance on the approach to a level crossing. In amazing original condition considering it was outside during its' working life.
