Stoneware Barbers Pot

Small Victorian stoneware Barber's lidded pot (missing the lid), marked with the name of the World's Oldest Barber Shop (according the Guiness Book of World Records) - H.P. Truefitt Ltd of 16 Old Bond Street, London. Truefitt was established in 1805 (the same year as Nelson's victory at Trafalgar) and provided services to 9 consecutive British monarchs as well as Prime Ministers (such as Churchill) and other high ranking politicians, European royal families and leading figures in showbusiness. This pot dates from the late 19th Century. Has some small cracks, but is in generally great condition (except for the missing lid).
