Heavy gauge antique tinned copper daubiere or stew pot dating from the mid to late 19th Century, with copper riveted cast iron handles.  This is superior quality with hammered copper of 2.2 - 2.4mm thick, and a castellated welded base.  It is stamped 'SAVOY GRILL' and 'SAVOY HOTEL' with the number '6', which denotes its inventory number, as this was from a hotel kitchen that would have had numerous pans. The pan does not have a lid, but typically in the hotels a foil cover would be used.  This is a rare item, and has just been completely refurbished to include polishing and retinning, so can be used for its intended purpose.
