Vintage (circa 1960s/70s) junior female mannequin made from fibreglass - we have named her 'DOT' :) She has been with us for over 5 years, working hard in our shop before moving to the house, but now we don't have anywhere for her to display. Stamped AJ8 on her back, which we believe identifies her as an Adel Rootstein original (although we have been unable to confirm 100%). Adel Rootstein is a world famous British designer who started producing mannequins in the 1960s, and is most famous for her junior model of Twiggy (which bears more than a passing resemblance to Dot). She has detachable arms, and hands as well as one leg - the fixed leg has a hole in the bottom where she would have been mounted on a base. She has obvious signs of wear and use, but we have left her exactly as we found her so that any new owner can restore her as much or as little as they want. Her hands have been in the wars, and she is missing a couple of fingers (see photos), with one detached but still available to be re-attached. With a little TLC and addition of clothing, a wig and a base, she would look fantastic in any setting.
