Pair of unusual oval antique watercolours of Egyptian scenes, both signed by the artist R Rappini (Roger Rappeau Vittaria Rappini) and dating from the very early 20th Century. Rappini (more commonly known as Vittorio) was an Italian artist born in 1877, and is famed for his watercolours of Middle Eastern scenes. One picture is titled 'Pyramids, near Cairo' - can you guess which one just by looking at the photos? :) The other is untitled, but almost definitely painted at the same time, this one showing a mosque on the River Nile. Both mounted in their original oval frames, which appear to be rosewood veneer. No damage to either picture or frame, and the colours are still very strong.
