Extremely rare Raleigh cycles advertising light box dating from the late 1930s/early 1940s. Metal box, with glass and mirrors to display the image when lit.
The basis for Raleigh was established in 1885 by Woodhead and Angois who used the Raleigh brand name. The company was acquired in 1888 by Frank Bowden and became the Raleigh Cycle Company in 1889. By 1913 it was the worlds' largest bicycle manufacturer.
