Original midcentury colour print from the Illustrated London News supplement showing the Festival of Britain site. The print was produced by G.H. Davis to show the 'Helicopter's Eye' view of the exhibition site - published on May 12 1951. The rear of the print shows an image of the centre-piece of the festival by night on the south bank of the River Thames, along with an image of the Festival Pleasure Gardens at Battersea Park. Part of a larger collection of print articles and advertising material acquired recently. Colour has been well preserved - in great condition with no rips and tears.
