Original midcentury colour print from the Illustrated London News supplement of Sir Winston Churchill. The print was produced from a painting commissioned by the magazine from Professor Arthur Pan to commemorate the retirement of Churchill from his Prime Ministerial duties in 1955. The rear of the print shows an image of his successor, Sir Anthony Eden, along with a photo of Churchill on his 80th birthday in 1954, taken in the garden at No 10 Downing Street, and an image of a diorama showing the onset of victory in WW2 at the Port of Arranches. Part of a larger collection of print articles and advertising material acquired recently. Colour has been well preserved - in great condition with no rips and tears.
