Original midcentury colour print from the Illustrated London News supplement of the various American land birds that have been recorded in the British Isles. The print was produced by Neave Parker (the Special Artist for the magazine) with the co-operation of R.S.R. Fitter in mid-1956. The rear of the print shows discoveries unearthed at a construction site in York, and a photograph of a statuette of Aureole (one of the Queen's greatest racehorses) presented to the Queen and Prince Phillip by the Bristol Waterworks Company to commemorate the opening by the Queen of Chew Valley Lake reservoir. Part of a larger collection of print articles and advertising material acquired recently. Colour has been well preserved - in great condition with no rips and tears.
