Antique copper relief plaque entitled 'Molder', designed by sculptor and medallist Karl (Charles) Korschann (1872-1943). Cast in Brno, Czechoslovakia at foundry Ignac STOREK circa 1925. Korschann attended the Vienna Fine Arts Academie, then Berlin Akademische Hochschule fur Bilbende Kunste (Academy of Arts). He started in Denmark before moving to Paris in 1894, returning to Berlin in 1906, then Frankfurt in 1912 before coming home to Brno, Czechoslovakia in 1920. The plaque is mounted in a brass rimmed wooden frame. 'STOREK' is cast into the rear of the piece (see photo). This piece appears to be heavily influenced by the Soviet socialist propaganda art of the time - a rare piece.
