Large rare midcentury vertical India Tyres enamel sign. India Tyres was established in Inchinnan, Renfrew, Scotland in the 1920s and survived until the 1980s, having been acquired by the Dunlop company in the late 1930s and becoming a fully-fledged subsidiary by 1940. This sign is promoting the India Super tyre. Has obvious signs of age and use, but great colour, and has been mounted to wooden battens to keep it from bending and make it easier to mount on a wall.
Measures: 182cm tall x 45cm wide x 2.5cm thick (including battens)
