Midcentury heavy cast bronze Fire Engine bell dating from the 1950s, with original copper frame, and later wooden base. This bell was removed from a Dennis fire engine and still has the original paint on the frame and inside the bell (including the clapper). Remnants of the original leather strap are also in place, and there are even 2 small oil ports on top of the bell - this was part of the maintenance to keep the joint of the clapper lubricated to be sure that the bell would ring on demand without any trouble. The bell measures approx 8.5" tall x 10" diameter. In great original condition - perfect as a dinner bell, or for last orders!
Measures: 60cm wide x 38cm tall x 26cm deep
