Very early (possibly Hornby?) electric toy train. Heavily play worn, but a really nice early piece with the maroon LMS (London, Midland and Scotland) livery and the number 7411 (appears to be a Fowler Class 3F engine). The wheels turn and all the contact equipment seems to be present, so with a little TLC it could possibly return to service. The actual train this was modelled on was still in service at the end of 1947 when the railways were nationalised. Runs on a 4V DC system.
Measures: 20cm long x 10cm tall x 6cm wide
