Egyptian Bookends

Lovely vintage mahogany Egyptian style bookends dating from circa 1930 - most probably produced following Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb site in Egypt in November 1922, and the inevitable desire for all things Egyptian in the years following the discovery. One bookend has a pyramid form, with the other having the form of a female Egyptian of some standing, although it has not been possible to identify the subject. In great original condition. Books are not included in the price..
