Edwardian patent 'Adapta' table produced by J. Foot & Son, London - dating from the early 20th Century (approx 1915). Mahogany table top with cast iron frame, the table height and angle can be adjusted for use as a flat table or a reading platform. The table top is fitted with spring-loaded clamps to allow a document or book to be secured when the top is placed at an angle. A lamp fitting has been added to illuminate the reading surface. The table frame has beautiful art nouveau decoration and ball and claw feet, with two original castors for easy movement. This table would be perfect as a restaurant menu board/table plan holder. Getting harder to find.
