East German Anatomical Model

Very rare VEB Sonneberg SVL male anatomical human model dating from the 1960s. Produced in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), it has had a hard life, including a beheading at some point.  It has a look befitting the fall of the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall.  All the internal organs are still intact (which is quite rare for these human anatomy models). The lungs have lost their attaching hooks, but still sit nicely in the torso with the other organs, such as the heart and intestines. The figure even has the serial number sticker from the original customer on its backside :) The model is mounted on a wooden base with the original manufacturers label intact.

Measures: 65cm tall x 38cm wide x 26cm deep
