Set of 3 antique pencil sketches by C.E. Cornish-Bowden of Devon scenes, dating from the late 19th Century (1888 and 1889 specifically). Each pencil sketch appears to have had some minor colouring with white paint or maybe chalk to pick out small details in the image. Each image has also been mounted on board prior to framing (see unframed example for evidence). In good original condition, with some obvious foxing to the paper, but this is to be expected for pieces over 130 years old. Very little is known about the artist, but clearly a very talented individual.
Image 1 is untitled showing a small thatched cottage, signed by the artist and dated 1889 - framed and glazed, and measures 48.5cm wide x 35.5cm tall
