Antique cast nickel or zinc chimney horse figure. The original chimney horses were made in brass, and date from the Georgian period (circa 1800), and used purely as decorative items either side of a fireplace. They are sometimes offered as door stops, but they were never heavy enough for this purpose. This particular piece was most likely produced around 100 years or so later, circa 1900-1920. The horse is missing its base, but this could be recreated, or it could be hung on a wall. Would benefit from a deep clean, as this was found in a garage, where it had been buried for 30+ years.
