Antique German child's Magic Lantern dating from circa 1900-1910, complete in a paper covered and lined wooden box with the paraffin burner, glass funnel, mirror and adjustable front lens. Also included are 9 glass slides (1 of which is cracked), and some spare wicks. Believed to have been produced by Ernst Plank of Nuremberg, Germany. The lantern has a brass disc on the door with 'PERFEKT J.S.', which would appear to be the model of lantern. The box is in used condition, but the paper label is still clearly visible on top......imagine receiving this as a present! Is inscribed 'For Leslie 1912' inside - was she the first owner? A great decorative piece.
