Bronze Skillet

Rare antique English bronze skillet or posnet.  Discovered in a garage, it was almost black when we found it, but a bit of elbow grease has really brought it to life.  Believed to date from the late 17th or early 18th Century, it stands on tripod legs. It has clearly been very well used, as this type of skillet would usually have the makers name on the handle, but the name has worn away (see photos). In good solid condition, would make a great decorative piece in a country kitchen.

Measures: 19.5cm diameter x 24.5cm tall (handle = 20cm long)
