Heavy cast bronze ship's bell with George VI royal cypher, dating it to the late 1930s upto the early 1950s. Unfortunately does not have any ships' markings. Has the original clanger, which would have had a rope attached to the end, and what appears to be a later grooved wooden handle - possibly was converted for use in a school or church in later years. The royal cypher is marked in red. Has a lovely deep sound. Quasimodo would love it.
Bell measures: 23cm (9") diameter x 28cm (11") tall
Wooden handle measures: 28cm (11") long x 3.5cm (1.5") diameter
