Giant Berkey Colortran theatre light in a striking electric blue colour with original barn door shutters and fresnel glass lens. The Fresnel lens is a succession of concentric rings, each consisting of an element of a simple lens, assembled in proper relationship on a flat surface to provide a short focal length. This type of lens is typically used in lighthouses and search lights to concentrate the light into a relatively narrow beam. Mounted on a spring loaded, heavy duty black tripod (included), it has been converted to a 240v domestic supply with an inline switch. The light was salvaged from a fairground yard, where it had been used as a work light in the workshop during the winter months. The shutters can be fully closed, and the tilt angle of the light can be adjusted to suit using a handle on the right side of the supporting U frame.
Plan chest & Apollo bust are for decorative & scale purposes only.
