Large antique Benham & Froud copper consomme/stock pot lid. It has brass handles rather than the usual cast iron ones found on lesser lids and pots - these are attached with copper rivets. More often than not these lids became separated from their original pot, as many French chefs tended to use foil to cover the stock pot, then use the lid as a make shift saute pan. This beauty has recently been fully refurbished, including a deep clean, polish and re-tinning.
