Savoy Grill Copper Saucepan

Antique large tinned hammered copper saucepan originally used in the Savoy Hotel/Grill kitchens, dating from the late 19th Century. Has a 14" cast iron handle, fixed to the pan with copper rivets. Comes with later Helvetia copper lid (stamped with the UK & Swiss flag emblem), dating from the 1940s.  This is superior quality in approx 3mm thick hammered copper, but there are no makers marks visible (probably been polished out over the past 100 years). Stamped 'SAVOY GRILL' in 2 places, 'SGR' and '6' denoting the inventory number - this is a rare item, and has just been completely refurbished to include polishing and retinning, so can be used for its intended purpose.

Measures: 12" dia (excl handle) x 6.25" deep (Approx: 31cm x 16cm)
